# Giving negative numbers a red colour

Hi,  
I was wondering if there is an option to give negative numbers a red colour.  
In my instance I have a data item which I show, this data items contains Value1, Value2, calculation of the difference between 1 and 2 and a calculation to get the difference in a percentage. (Calculations are done beforehand, I only show the results in de data item)  
Is there a way to make the calculation of the difference and the calculation of the difference in percentage RED when this is a negative number?

If somebody has faced this issue before, I’d love to know how you addressed it!

Hi @lode.pijpelink,

This is currently not possible and sadly, there is no workaround due to limitations on how CSS works (it cannot target cells with certain content).

We are well-aware of the requests for this feature, and it is part of a big overhaul of our frontend capabilities. I cannot give timelines, as this work is split into many smaller tasks, many of which are under-the-hood preparations.
