Using **Scheduled triggers** in **Automation flows** lets you start an **Automation flow** on a specific **Date and time** or on an interval. **Scheduled triggers** are very useful to start flows that send out reminders, or periodically [get data from other applications](https://docs.triggre.com/features/connections/using-zapier-to-connect-with-triggre).

To use the **Scheduled trigger** in an **Automation flow** , follow these steps:

1. Create a new **Automation flow**.
2. Add a **Trigger** by clicking the **Add button**.
3. Choose **Scheduled trigger.**
4. Select whether to start the flow once or on an interval.
5. If you chose interval, specify the details of the interval.

After you publish your design, the flow will now be started on the moment you have specified.
